#4: Panic Hour
Scenario:
I work full time and have no time to cook. Kids are hungry when they get home and can’t wait one hour for dinner.
Suggestions:
During weekdays, you don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen getting dinner ready. With good planning, a well-stocked pantry and simple recipes (such as tacos or pasta dishes), you can get meals ready within 30 minutes or less. Let kids have a small snack such as veggies and dip or a small fruit if they really need to eat something. That should be enough until dinner time without affecting their appetites. On the weekends, you can also get them involved in the kitchen. Eventually, they will be able to help you out during the week. They will love to taste what they helped you prepare.
